Economic Strategy:

Feasibility Study for a Potential Business Park

The purpose of the feasibility study was to support the Forest County Potawatomi Community (FCPC) in making informed decisions, attract needed partners, and secure necessary funding.

More importantly it was intended to enable  it to use sound data in developing a business park in Forest County, identify potential complications, determine project sustainability, provide projections of potential employment and economic impact, identify new or unexplored opportunities, give focus to the project, identify factors for decision-making, provide documentation that the project idea was thoroughly researched, and position the project for success over the long term.

Outcomes:

Using an iterative process consisting of four interconnected and interdependent tasks: Market Opportunity, Market Feasibility, Alternative Scenario Modeling, and Implementation.

Lupke identified a regional market void in healthcare and a market opportunity for a healthcare-related business park. When developed, the park will leverage Community strengths in nursing and alternative medicine while meeting aspirations for health, wellness, and economic opportunity.
